Temporarily discontinued for 2011, the BMW 6 Series returns as an all-new model for 2012.
The 6 Series is available as a coupe or cabriolet (convertible), as the 650i xDrive Coupe, 650i Cabriolet, and 650i xDrive Cabriolet. All models use a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. The 650i Cabriolet comes with an eight-speed automatic or no-charge optional six-speed manual transmission. The xDrive (all-wheel drive) models use the eight-speed automatic exclusively.
Features on the 650i xDrive Coupe include 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control with solar and fogging sensor, adaptive LED brakelights, automatic adaptive xenon headlights with cornering lights, LED fog lights and turn signals, electromechanical parking brake with hold function, rain-sensing wipers with heated washer nozzles, front and rear park distance control, tire pressure warning system, alarm system, keyless entry with Comfort Access, active front head restraints, auto-dimming power-folding heated mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient lighting, eight-way power-adjustable heated leather seats with memory, heated power-adjustable multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, dynamic cruise control with braking function, illuminated vanity mirrors, auto up/down windows, DVD/MP3 stereo with hard disc drive and USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, BMW Assist, navigation system, iDrive with LCD display, and trip computer.
The 650i Cabriolet models add a soft top with electric glass wind deflector and rollover protection system.
